Carol's Daughter Dips Toe in "Eco Friendly" Pool with Shampoo Bar

 Carol's Daughter has a cult following in the natural hair community as it was one of the first companies selling products for the maintenance of afro-textured hair. It has expanded into many lines over the years, but its signature line and scent is Black Vanilla. The brand recently announced the launch of Black Vanilla Luscious Moisture Shampoo Bar designed to "care for both hair and the environment" (Source).

The shampoo bar was developed with a vegan formula. is 95% biodegradable, and contains no animal-derived ingredients. This is Carol's Daughter's first surfactant-free shampoo bar made with a blend of half cleansers and half conditioners aimed to cleanse the hair without stripping.

“What I really love is that it’s super gentle, has great slip, and is made with hair-loving ingredients like shea butter, lavender, and jojoba oil. And though using a bar may take a little getting used to, it’s a really small change in your routine that supports the environment, while still giving your hair all the things it loves and needs to be healthy and strong. In the past, shampoo bars have gotten a bad rep as messy, drying, and not good enough for our hair, but I promise you, this bar is EVERYTHING.
