@BlackinChem Kicks off Black Chemists Week 2021

 BlackinChem is an organization that "was founded in 2020 and was inspired by a series of “BlackinX” weeks that were created in response to #BlackBirdersWeek. Since 2020, BlackInChem has increased its online presence, connected Black chemists in the US and Europe, and catalysed a conversation regarding the need for greater representation of Black chemists." They are hosting a virtual Black Chemists Week where Black chemists and allies working in or aspiring to work in various fields of chemistry are invited to participate. The theme of the week is "In My Element" and the week kicked off today, August 8 with "Rep your SET" where chemists were invited to introduce themselves and their field via the hashtag #BlackinChemRollCall. I plan to participate in this week's events and hope to see you online.
