Applications Are Open for the Christina Miller Fellowship for Chemistry Grad Students
The University of Edinburgh recently announced that applications are open for the Christina Miller Fellowship for chemistry grad students. The fellowship was named after researcher, Christina Cruickshank Miller who was one of the first five women, the first female chemist, and one of the first deaf scientists initiated into the Royal Society of Edinburgh (Source).
The Fellowship is three years and specifically supports early-career (postdoctoral) researchers from backgrounds that are under-represented in chemistry research and academia (e.g. gender, minority ethnicity, disability, disadvantaged circumstances, etc.). It aims to provide a supportive and collegial environment for early-career researchers to develop their research and prepare themselves for future independent roles in academia and beyond.
Candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. They must have completed a PhD in Chemistry, or a closely related subject, and can demonstrate the potential for independent research and a future academic career.
